When a submission is created it is linked to the profile of the user who created it. However, in some cases it may be necessary to change the owner of a submission such as when the user has multiple accounts, if the submission is managed by a team and the ownership must be changed, or if an organization is completing an application and the creator leaves the organization. This article will walk administrators through the steps required to change the ownership of a submission from the administrator view of a submission.

When changing the owner of a submission, there are a few things to keep in mind.
First, since the owner of the submission is changing all emails going forward will be sent to the new owner with the exception of trigger emails that have customized recipient lists. The original owner will not be included in any future emails sent to the submission owner unless they are added manually.
Access to the Submission
The original owner will no longer have access to the submission once the ownership has been transferred. If this user should still have access to the submission, consider Adding a New Member instead.
The User Must Already Exist in the Site
In order to transfer the ownership of a submission, the destination profile must already exist within FluidReview. This means that users cannot be added through the action of changing the submission's owner. For help adding new users, see How to Add Users.
A Record Will Not be Logged
When a ownership is changed a record of the change is not logged within the submission activity log.
