Add Users

Chris Quiroz -

As an admin you can add users to the site in two ways individually or through a bulk import of user.

There are two ways to access the Add Users section of the site.

The first way is:

  1. Click Manage your site.
  2. Click Add users

The second way is:

  1. Click Manage your site.
  2. Click Manage Users
  3. Click Add in the top right corner

Add an Individual User

Once in the Add Users section of the site you can add a single user using the following steps:

  1. Under the Add User tab enter the user information
  2. Click the Add User button.

Set a password (Optional)

You can choose to set a temporary password for the user. Note: If the user already has an account within FluidReview, perhaps on a different site, you won't be able to set a password on their account.

Group(s)

A list of your groups will appear here. This is what will determine the tasks that are available to the user within your site. For more information on groups, please see: Manage Groups

Force Password Reset

If you set up the user with a temporary password in Set a Password, enabling this option will force the user to change their password once they have logged in.

I have permission to contact this user via email

You will not be able to add the user to the site without enabling this option.

Import Multiple Users

Another way to add users to the site is by importing them using a CSV file. To do this:

  1. Click Manage your site.
  2. Click Add users
  3. Click the Import Users tab
  4. Create your CSV file using the format shown below
  5. Ensure that it is saved as a .CSV file
  6. Click Choose File
  7. Select I have permission to contact this user via email
  8. Click Import

Import User Format

Your CSV file's first row should contain column headers. Accepted column headers are as follows:
First Name, Last Name, Email and Group.
These are not case sensitive and the order does not matter. Subsequent columns will be considered 'metadata' fields and will be saved with your user as extra data. The column headers for metadata fields must be exact matches to the metadata fields in your site. Note: These four columns must be the first 4 columns in your spreadsheet and the group names must be exact to the group names within your site.
